I have started the year with a massive amount of sign ups to SAL's (stitch alongs) my first start was Bluebell pixie by Nora Corbett I finished that one in just 4 days I think the others are all going to be a lot slower some may take me years especially the large HAED i have just started although i have a few of these designs i have never actually stitched one my first start was a bit of a disaster on a 25 count fabric i really didn't realise how tiny the stitches would be so re-started it on an 18 count much easier for me to see. On the 1st February I am due to start the letter J from La Belle Lettres by Gigi Ries I have picked a light mocha fabric and at present now sure which colour thread i am going to use I have a choice of two one being a blend or red and purple by threadworkz and the other a blend of dark pinks. In between these that i have started I also signed up for a RR with Mirabilia my first piece is now stitched and been posted to America I picked Lady Alexandra as my box but have left the other boxes as the choice of the other stitchers and that will in turn leave it as a surprise for me.
I am also due to start other SAL's on the 14th February an ink circle design called cirques des couers for which i am using a teal coloured fabric with an orangey pink blended thread from Anchor. Looking forward to that one. April the 1st is the due date to start One Nation SAL by bygone stitches however my son wants me to stitch something for him and as he was born on the 4th July this will be his when it is completed. He expects it done in a couple of days i think so has a bit of a shock coming to him.
There is also my own stitching which i want to do in between all these other designs mainly my Mirabilia stitching I have just acquired Rose of Provence which is a beautiful design as usual by Nora Adams.
It seems i have a very busy year ahead of me and hope i can keep up with all that i have signed up for as i really do want to see finishes not just starts.
I will try and post pictures as i go along if i can work out how to do so on here as i have never written a blog before this is all new to me.
